A travel expense cut off your budget.
by | October 25, 2021

Looking into having a change of scenery for the upcoming holidays? Home to endemic tarsiers, the scenic Chocolate Hills, and white sand beaches, Bohol remains one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations. Your dream getaway in the Visayan province is now easier to achieve, especially if you’re fully vaccinated.

Bohol travel requirements

Despite strict health and safety protocols, domestic travel is slowly becoming easier as more provinces open for tourists and more Pinoys receive their COVID-19 jabs. On October 22, 2021, Bohol Governor Arthur Yap signed Executive Order No. 52 Series of 2021, lifting the requirement of negative RT-PCR test on fully vaccinated individuals upon entry to the province of Bohol. This new policy will be effective beginning October 25, Monday.

Instead of an RT-PCR test taken 72 hours prior departure to Bohol, fully vaccinated tourists only have to prepare the following:

  1. Vaccination Certificate from the Department of Health
  2. Approved S-Pass

An individual is considered to be fully vaccinated two weeks after receiving the second dose of a 2-dose vaccine series such as Moderna and Pfizer or two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen.

What if you’re just partially vaccinated?

Whether you’re unvaccinated or have only received your first dose, you may still enter Bohol. But you will have to follow the old policy, which will require you to present a negative RT-PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior departure to Bohol.

Another travel requirement is an approved S-Pass, which you can apply for here.
