When life gets overwhelming, there will be moments when you wish for time to slow down and just stare at sparkling stars at night. In celebration of World Space Week 2023, DOST-PAG-ASA is hosting free planetarium shows and stargazing sessions in Quezon City. Here’s what we know about it:

World Space Week 2023

DOST-PAGASA recently shared exciting events that will bring enthusiasts an unforgettable cosmic exploration and wonder. They will host free Planetarium Shows from 8 AM to 4 PM at the PAGASA Planetarium, Science Garden Complex, Sen. Miriam Defensor-Santiago Ave., Quezon City. Be prepared to immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the universe, ultimately making you realize that you are ~just a speck of dust within the galaxy~! At the state-of-the-art planetarium, guests will witness distant galaxies, explore the solar system, and learn about the mysteries of space.

There will be a morning and afternoon session, with the following schedule below:

If you’re too busy to catch the shows at the planetarium, you can still participate in the celebration of World Space Week by heading to UP Diliman for the free telescoping and stargazing session.

The session will be from 6 to 10 PM at the PAGASA Astronomical Observatory, UP Diliman. Hope for clear skies and prepare for an evening of stargazing through powerful telescopes. There will also be expert astronomers who will guide you through planets, constellations, and celestial wonders above.

Walk-ins are welcome for the stargazing event.
