Traveling is always an exciting experience, until you have to leave your furbabies behind. Now, you can bring your pets to your tropical holidays when you fly with Philippine Airlines (PAL), and here’s how you can easily do it:
What is PAL’s FurPAL Program?
FurPAL is the first and only in-cabin pet travel service in the Philippines. Your small dog will be placed in a carrier in front of you to ensure they remain comfortable throughout the flight.
The program currently allows only small dogs; cats and other small pets are prohibited.
Are there any age or size requirements for my dog?
According to Philippine Airlines, your dog must be at least 12 weeks old, fully weaned, and able to stand, turn, and lie down comfortably in their carrier.
Only small dogs weighing 10 kilograms or less will be allowed on board.
Which routes are available?
As of now, the FurPAL program is available only on PAL’s domestic routes.
How much is it?
FurPAL costs PHP 2,500 for a one-way ticket. Only one pet is allowed per passenger.
How to book FurPAL
Booking the FurPAL service is a breeze. Here’s how to do it:
1. Choose a FurPAL-eligible route.

2. On the Travel Boost page, select FurPAL to include your pet in the booking.

3. Confirm your details and get ready for your flight.

What documents should I prepare for my pet’s flight?
Don’t forget to present the following documents upon check-in:
- FurPAL Declaration, Release, and Waiver Form
- Veterinary Health Certificate
- Shipping Permit issued by the Bureau of Animal Industry, Department of Agriculture
- Anti-Rabies Vaccination Certificate
You also need to secure the same documents from the location of your return flight.
