In an advisory, the Department of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines (DFA) announced that beginning June 25, 2026, Filipinos are now eligible for a Visa-On-Arrival when traveling to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Here’s everything you need to know about it:

 

Who is eligible for the Visa-On-Arrival?

Filipino citizens using their Philippine passports with an EXISTING VALID VISA, RESIDENCE PERMIT, OR GREEN CARD in the following countries are eligible for a Visa-On-Arrival in the UAE:

  • United States of America
  • European Union member states
  • Australia
  • Japan
  • Singapore
  • Republic of Korea
  • Canada
  • New Zealand

 

How do you obtain a Visa-On-Arrival in the UAE?

Eligible Filipinos can get a Visa-On-Arrival in the UAE for a fee. There are two options for it:

Duration of Stay Fee Extension
14 days United Arab Emirates dirham (AED) 100 (approx. PHP 1,669) May be extended once for an additional 14 days at a fee of AED 250 (approx. PHP 4,174)
60 days AED 250 (approx. PHP 4,174) Not extendable

 

Which countries and states are included in the UAE?

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) comprises seven emirates:

  • Abu Dhabi
  • Dubai
  • Sharjah
  • Ajman
  • Umm Al Quwain
  • Ras Al Khaimah
  • Fujairah
