This memorial to the fallen Mongolian and Soviet Union soldiers sits atop a hill overlooking the city. You’ll see carvings and paintings depicting the friendship, shared struggles and the victories of these allied nations. You’ll also see a depiction of Soyuz 39’s spaceflight wherein the first Mongolian, Jugderdemidiin Gurragchaa, was part of the crew sent to outer space.
