Love going to Tagaytay but don’t want to deal with the traffic? Beginning September, motorists can get to the scenic city faster as the CALAX Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange opens. Know more about it:

 

Tagaytay in 20 minutes

With the opening of the new Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) exit in September, motorists can get to Tagaytay in as fast as 20 minutes. As of writing, it takes an hour to get to Tagaytay from the Mamplasan Rotunda.

In a Facebook post, CALAX shares the Silang (Aguinaldo) Interchange exit is 91% complete as of August.

It is expected to service an additional 5,000 motorists once it opens.

 

How much are CALAX’s toll fees?

Its main mode of payment is through the EASYTRIP RFID. Some lanes in toll plazas still accept cash.

 

About Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX)

CALAX is a four-lane 45-kilometer toll road that will connect the Eastbound Mamplasan Rotunda and westbound Manila-Cavite Toll Expressway (CAVITEX) to the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

It will have eight interchanges: Silang, Santa-Rosa-Tagaytay, Daang Hari, Kawit, Laguna Boulevard, Technopark, Governor’s Drive, and Aguinaldo Highway.

As of writing, its 14.24-kilometer operational segment stretches from Mamplasan Rotunda to Silang East Interchange.
