We all dreamed of being an astronaut at some point in our childhood. While many of us chose different paths as adults, there’s still that whimsy of being able to reach the stars. NASA is launching the Artemis II soon, and here’s your chance to reach the moon – your name, at least. Here’s how you can do it.
What is Artemis?
In 2026, four astronauts will fly around the moon and back through Artemis II. Astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen will explore the moon for 10 days to support scientific discovery, economic benefits, and the foundation for the first crewed mission to Mars.
According to NASA, “Artemis II will test NASA’s deep space capabilities, as humans fly on the SLS rocket and Orion spacecraft for the first time.”
The mission will launch from Launch Complex 39 at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida this year.
How can you submit your name?
