Traveling between Southern Luzon and the Visayas just got a little easier! 2GO Travel has officially launched a direct ferry route between Batangas and Cebu, giving passengers from Southern Luzon a more convenient way to reach the Queen City of the South without having to travel all the way to Manila first.
2GO Travel: A more convenient route for Southern Luzon travelers
The new route aims to make sea travel more accessible, especially for travelers coming from nearby provinces. Instead of heading to the capital to catch a ferry, passengers can now board directly at the Batangas International Port, reducing travel time and easing congestion at Manila’s ports.
What is the Batangas to Cebu 2GO Travel ferry schedule
Starting in July, the service will operate once a week aboard the MV 2GO Masikap. Every Tuesday, the ship departs Batangas at 6:30 p.m. and arrives at the Port of Cebu on Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The vessel is equipped with several onboard amenities to make the journey more comfortable, including restaurants, a café, and entertainment lounges. Passengers will also enjoy a 50-kilogram baggage allowance, making the route a practical option for those bringing home pasalubong or traveling with more luggage.
How much does it cost?
Fares range from P1,744 to P7,477, depending on the accommodation or bunk type you choose. Tickets for the new Batangas-to-Cebu route are now available online.
Whether you’re planning a vacation, visiting family, or simply prefer traveling by sea, this new direct route offers a convenient alternative to flying—especially for travelers coming from Southern Luzon.
