LIST: You Can Enter These Countries Without an RT-PCR Test

With the procurement of vaccines and better health and safety protocols, travel is going back to normal again. Airports are now as busy as pre-pandemic times and you might have already been seeing friends reuniting with their families, colleagues going on business trips, and families going on much-awaited holidays.

While going local is the way to help the industry recover, you might also be looking into using your passport again and traveling abroad for your next trip. If you’re planning for international travel this holiday season, here’s a list of popular destinations that no longer require an RT-PCR test as a travel requirement:

 

Southeast Asia 

Singapore

Requirement/s: Be fully vaccinated and upload a certificate or proof of vaccination to the Singapore Arrival Card, which will be filled out 3 days before arrival. 

 

Malaysia

Requirement/s: Full vaccination and proof of vaccination upon arrival. 

 

Vietnam

Requirement/s: Be fully vaccinated and have travel insurance of at least USD 10,000 covering COVID-19. Filipinos can enjoy visa-free travel to Vietnam for up to 21 days. 

 

Thailand

Requirement/s: Full vaccination and vaccine certificate. 

 

Cambodia

Requirement/s: Full vaccination and vaccine certificate. 

 

Laos

Requirement/s: Full vaccination and vaccine certificate. 

 

East Asia 

Japan

Requirement/s: Starting September 7, 2022, international travelers entering Japan no longer need to present a negative RT-PCR test result. You need to have at least 3 doses of vaccine (get boosted!) and present your proof of vaccination. However, only group tours under accredited travel agencies are allowed for tourists. 

 

North America 

United States of America

Requirement/s: To enter the U.S., you need to be fully vaccinated, present proof of vaccination, and have a valid U.S. visa. 

 

Europe 

France

Requirement/s: To enter France, all you need are proof of vaccination and a valid visa. 

 

Italy

Requirement/s: All you need to enter Italy is a valid visa. 

 

Germany

Requirement/s: You only need proof of vaccination and a valid visa to enter Germany. 

 

Switzerland

Requirement/s: As of September 13, 2022, health-related documents are no longer needed in Switzerland.

 

United Kingdom

Requirement/s: You only need a valid visa to enter the UK. Travelers from green list countries, regardless of vaccination status, can travel to the UK. 

 

Greece

Requirement/s: Filipinos traveling to Greece only need a valid visa. Travelers must also download the Visit Greece application. 

 

Netherlands

Requirement/s: You only need a valid visa to enter the Netherlands. 

 

Turkey

Requirement/s: To enter Turkey, you only need a valid passport and an approved e-Visa. 

 

Austria

Requirement/s: Health travel requirements have been waived in Austria and you only need a valid visa. FFP 2 masks are also no longer mandatory in essential shops, outdoors, and on public transportation. Quarantine is also no longer mandatory. 

 

Portugal

Requirement/s: A valid visa and passport. Masking is also not mandatory in Portugal anymore, except when visiting health facilities and nursing homes.
