Batangas may be known for its beaches and vibrant marine life, but it also has pockets of hidden destinations for people who prefer forests and mountains. For the times you need to recharge in nature and get away from the city, experience living in a tiny house at La Caja de Nipa:

La Caja de Nipa

La Caja de Nipa is a rustic eco-cabin nestled near Mt. Banoy. It doesn’t have air conditioning, but the surrounding lush greenery will keep you cool and fresh during your stay. The walls are covered in nipa, which makes it resemble the classic Pinoy home, but its interiors are modern.

Inside, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen with an induction stove, oven toaster, and a small rice cooker. Basic condiments are also already provided, and you need to bring are ingredients and a menu of your favorite dishes.

It’s a one-bedroom house but it can comfortably sleep up to four guests.

Sliding glass doors lead to the backyard, with a spacious patio to lounge at or have your meals. At night, this area is perfect for stargazing too, or jamming to your favorite music. Just imagine dining here early in the morning and sharing meaningful conversations with your company!

When you’re in the mood to swim, there’s also a small plunge pool outside the eco cabin.
