Also known as the Singing Sand Dunes, Khongoryn Els lies inside the Gobi National Park. It takes its nickname from the sound it makes when the wind blows. It also takes on a yellowish and reddish hue, depending on the amount of light that strikes it, making it a good place to watch the sunset. And at 80 to 300 meters above sea level, this is one of the highest parts of the Gobi.
