It’s not difficult to find Lucia’s Cafe, especially when you take the Balete exit from STAR Tollway. The roadside cafe is perfect for dates with your family and friends – the owners have over 25 years of experience in the food industry, so trust that meals here are hearty and filling. They have an expansive menu: from pasta and pizza to main courses that start at P255 for herbed pork chops. Pair your meals with their coffee and non-coffee beverages such as teas and fruit shakes, and end it on a sweet note by having some dessert starting at P140 for a slice of Classic Chocolate Cake. Lucia’s Cafe is also popular for intimate events and celebrations.

Operating hours: Open daily from 9 AM to 10 PM. The last seating is at 9 PM.

Loghouse Cafe

Location: #18 Receno Compound, General Luna St., Sabang, Lipa

The breeze in Lipa gets pretty chilly around the “ber” months until February, making it an ideal place to drive to if you want to enjoy cold and fresh probinsya air. Loghouse Cafe will give you the same highland vibes as Baguio with its theme: a cabin with a real fireplace inside, surrounded by pine trees. To complete the cozy cabin feels, go for the outdoor seats and sip on a hot cup of latte.

Operating hours: Open daily from 9 AM to 8 PM.

There’s no need to fly to Paris to have croissants and have your Emily in Paris moment; you can do it right in Lipa. Ijo Bakery is becoming a popular name not only in Lipa but also in the metro; it’s either city dwellers who drive to Batangas or join group orders to have a taste of the Michelin-trained chef’s croissants. Prices start at P95 for a plain croissant. There are plenty of choices from savory to sweet: a Sausage Cheesemelt for P180 or a Peanut Smores for P160. See the viennoiserie list on Instagram.

Operating hours: Open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM

Nitoro Cold Brew

Location:  The Square, 140 B Morada Ave, Lipa City

If you only have time to order coffee to-go, you’ll love Nitoro Cold Brew. This cafe is Batangas’ first nitro cold brew drive-thru coffee place and you guessed it right, it’s also Japanese-inspired.  They serve a wide variety of drinks: from coffee-based beverages that will keep you awake on the drive back to the metro to picture-worthy refreshers and fruit sodas. For something different, they also have alcohol-infused coffee!

Operating hours: 8 AM to 9 PM from Mondays to Thursdays and 8 AM to 10 PM from Fridays to Sundays

The Beehive Farm and Kitchen

Location: #17 Purok 2, Barangay Tambo, Lipa City

We typically pair honey with fruits, nuts, and teas, but what else pairs well with it? Let your imagination and palate run wild at The Beehive, the first honey restaurant in Batangas. Their menu consists of dishes infused with honey: from savory to sweet, and it’s all from the in-house organic bee farm. If you’re looking for a cozy restaurant to bring your family or a date, this lowkey spot surrounded by a garden makes a great venue for sharing a good meal and trying unique dishes.
