[article_carousel images=”http://windowseat.ph/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/29-Trips-you-Should-Take-Before-You-Turn-30-19.jpg”] The Philippines’ tourism industry will be put under the spotlight this coming September 3 to 6, 2015. This is brought forth by two of the country’s biggest tourism events, organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA). PHILTOA is the largest coalition of tour operators and agencies that boost and advertise domestic and inbound tourism.

The 3rd Philippine Tourism Forum will start PHILTOA’s events. It will be on September 3, 2015 at the SMX Convention Center. Attendees can look forward to industry insights from five secretaries of Tourism. The forum will serve as an opportunity for learning and discussion about the current state of the Philippines’ tourism and about the necessary steps to prepare for the ASEAN Integration.

The information and strategies that will be discussed during the forum will be very useful in PHILTOA’s succeeding main event, the 26th Philippine Travel Mart (PTM). The PTM is an annual event that is the biggest avenue for the promotion and marketing of domestic and inbound tourism. It will also be held at the SMX Convention Center from September 4 to 6, 2015.

With the PTM, PHILTOA aims to share awareness about the following issues: 1) The ASEAN Integration’s impact on the Philippine tourism industry, 2) the Philippines’ standing compared to industry threats, 3) new trends in the tourism industry and 3) tactics that are crucial to be able to thrive with the new trends.

Travelers will be pleased to know that the PTM will offer Philippine tours under the Tour Caravan Sale ng Bayan. Look forward to tour packages discounted up to 70% that covers accommodations and land or airfare requirements. Recognizing the upcoming ASEAN Economic Community, there will also be tours catering to ASEAN destinations as well as China, Japan and Korea.

With the theme “The Philippines, the Fun Capital of Asia,” the exhibition will still focus on promoting local tourism. There will be 10 units of booth space dedicated to regional culinary displays as well as food demos and tasting. This section is entitled “Flavors of the Philippines.” Through the “Jeepney Cruise Party,” attendees can experience a unique Filipino nightlife while riding an air-conditioned Jeepney with a videoke party inside and with an end point of a dinner cruise in Manila Bay. Moreover, there will be cultural competitions for Filipino students like “Himig ng Kundiman” and “Patimpalak ng Kasuotang Pilipino.”

These are just some of the exciting activities and interesting insights to look forward to at the 26th Philippine Travel Mart. There’s always something new to learn about our country and someway new to support it; these events do just that. If you’re interested in being a participant, register here and here.

Hope to see you there!
