Report: Photos of Europe’s Imaginary Borders

Valerio Vincezo makes Schengen's borders photogenic.
by | August 24, 2015

For the last eight years, Italian photographer Valerio Vincenzo has been taking photographs of all the borders within the EU. This project was inspired by the Schengen Agreement, which allows free movement of people with no border check in all countries involved. There are currently 26 member states involved, with a 16,500 km of free borders.

Vincenzo has assembled a stunning collection of photographs showing the Schengen Area’s invisible borders and it was recently featured on CNN.com.
