Need some time away from the city? Now that the rainy season is here, cozying up in a cabin with the best nature views seems like the perfect getaway. Especially if the location is just a short drive away from the metro. For the next long weekend, book an overnight stay at Camp Lupita:

Camp Lupita

Nestled in Tanay, Rizal, Camp Lupita starts with a little adventure. According to the owner, four-wheel vehicles cannot reach the camp. You’ll have to go on a 10-minute walk through hilly and sloping terrain, so you might want to plan and pack lightly to avoid multiple trips to and from the parking area.

But this will be all worth it once you arrive at camp, where you’ll find a kubo-like villa surrounded by a garden. Glass makes up the walls of Camp Lupita, giving you a gorgeous view of the nearby mountains even when hanging out indoors. The rest of the walls are made of nipa, making the villa feel cool even on hot days.

It’s the ideal vacation space for small groups as it can accommodate up to 12 guests who will sleep in two bedrooms. There are also two bathrooms in the house.

Finding a place to lounge wouldn’t be difficult at this camp, with relaxing and scenic spots both indoors and outdoors. Checkout this nook overlooking the mountains:

You’ll find a little garden on the side of Camp Lupita, with lounging chairs and open space where kids can play and pets are free to run around.

One of the best spots in the villa is the veranda upfront where you can catch a sea of clouds. Set your alarms early, prepare breakfast, and dine with a perfect view just in time for sunrise.

The villa also has a fully-equipped kitchen.

At night, bask in the cool breeze and huddle around the bonfire pit. Don’t forget your drinks!
