There’s no perfect time to visit Baguio because it’s a local destination that keeps you coming back for more, no matter the time of year. Embrace its frosty weather around the holidays and the start of the year, escape the metro heat in summer, and indulge in the coziness of the rain during the lean season.
Beyond its popular tourist destinations and dining spots, one thing remains: the way Baguio brings us closer to nature makes it so irresistible and feels like a second home. It’s a place where you can truly disconnect, even for a weekend, and there’s one more reason to fall in love with the City of Pines. The all-new Baguio Arboretum Gallery opens on October 19, 2026.
Baguio Arboretum Gallery
Nestled along Leonard Wood Road, the Baguio Arboretum Gallery is a part of the city government’s effort to provide more parks and ecological spaces around Baguio.
In an online post shared by the Baguio City Public Information Office, City Environment and Parks Management Office (CEPMO) head Atty. Rhenan Diwas shared: “The development of the Baguio Arboretum is part of the city’s pursuit of long-term environmental enhancement projects to help ease the increasing pressure on Baguio’s forests, watersheds, parks and other environmental infrastructure brought about by continued urban growth.”
He also shared that the creation of the arboretum aims to promote education, recreation, and conservation – it is a place where visitors can simply hit pause, breathe, and enjoy nature.
From birdwatching to taking a lovely stroll in the forest, this new park is truly for the nature lovers.
