Despite focusing on solo projects, the headlines are still filled with the names of global superstar BTS composed of members RM, Jin, SUGA, j-hope, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook. They have activities and projects left and right, and it seems they’re even giving ARMYs (a.k.a. BTS’ fans) something new to look forward to, because you can get the chance to rent the infamous BTS IN THE SOOP House soon!

Earlier today, Airbnb announced that they have partnered with HYBE for an exclusive experience, where you can stay for two days and a night at the filming location of IN THE SOOP BTS ver. Season 2. The event is part of an Airbnb global campaign called “Only on Airbnb.”

IN THE SOOP the show

For those not familiar with the show, IN THE SOOP BTS ver. (literally “in the forest”) is a reality series featuring BTS, where the members take a break from their busy schedules and spend a few days relaxing and trying new hobbies in a remote location surrounded by trees, mountains, and all things nature.

Other spin-offs of the show have also come out, one with boy band Seventeen and another currently airing with the Wooga Squad (BTS member V, actors Choi Woo-shik, Park Hyung-shik, and Park Seo-joon, and musician and producer Peakboy).

Meanwhile, the BTS members have done two seasons for the show. In 2020, they spent their break in lakeside Airbnb called Lake 192 that won an award at the Korea Architecture Awards. But in 2021, their company HYBE purchased and renovated a property composed of three houses deep in the mountains of Gangwon just for the show.

IN THE SOOP the estate

According to Yonhap News reporter Cha Min-ji, who visited the location, going there feels like stepping on the set when IN THE SOOP BTS ver. Season 2 was on air.

The furniture, props, and amenities that the BTS members used in the show are still there, such as J-Hope’s rubber airplane and the karaoke equipment and instruments by the TV. Outside, guests can enjoy high-energy entertainment like weight training, trampoline, and basketball.

However, there have been some necessary changes made. Since only the main house (which didn’t have a sleeping area) will be available for the Airbnb guest, the mezzanine was converted into a loft-style bedroom, where the guest can sleep for the night. Other changes included the various BTS family photos replacing some of the members’ paintings.

How can you book it?

ARMYs can head to Airbnb to book the exclusive overnight experience on August 2 at 11:00 AM KST or August 2 at 10:00 AM PHT.

How much is it?

The booking only costs USD 7 or about PHP 392 (plus taxes and fees). The price is a nod to the seven members of BTS.

How many fans can book?

Despite the uber affordable price, only one lucky ARMY (and their one guest) can book the exclusive experience. The booking will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

In case restrictions due to the COVID-19 forces a cancellation, the guests will be credited with a travel voucher worth USD 1,000 instead.

Will there be another opportunity?

With ARMYs flocking to their social media pages, Airbnb said that there will be “another opportunity to visit the IN THE SOOP BTS home another way soon.”

While only one overnight stay will be offered, “geok jeong ma” (“don’t worry” in Korean)—fans will have another opportunity to visit the IN THE SOOP BTS home another way soon.

There really might be more chances, because in late 2021, some lucky ARMYs won a chance to visit the famous house.
