International travel is something Filipinos can look forward to again as more neighboring countries reopen with a few travel requirements to prepare for. Singapore is already a favorite travel destination among Pinoys pre-pandemic, and you might have already been seeing friends or family flying to the city for their first international trip in years. If you’re planning to visit this year, don’t forget to include these IG-worthy cafes to discover in between exploring favorite tourist destinations:

Planning to take a break in between shopping in Orchard Road? Cafe Found is a cafe you’ll have to look for – this spot is located within a retail store, The Editor’s Market, in Takashimaya Shopping Center. The cafe initially only offered coffee and savory and sweet pastries. Now, they also have an all-day breakfast menu as well as lunch and dinner choices. With its unique concept, you’d be down to dine and shop the whole day.

When looking for the perfect background for your insta feed, you can’t skip on Joo Chiat Road. It houses pastel-colored residential houses both locals and tourists can’t get enough of! And tucked right in the heart of this vibrant neighborhood is Cafe Natsu, which is rooted in European and Japanese inspirations, as seen on its menu and interiors.

Perfect for fans of sleek and modern cafes, Waga Waga Den sets itself apart from the “usual” cafe look we see these days with its black design. This unique cafe stands out in South Beach Tower, with an option to dine alfresco. Both its interiors and menu are Japanese-inspired. Waga stands for wagyu beef and wagashi, which means Japanese sweets (they’re also available on the menu). Don’t forget to try their best-selling drink the Cloud, an iced white mocha sprinkled with a layer of cocoa. Air is trapped in the layer, creating the cloud-like appearance of the drink!

Operating hours: Tuesdays to Fridays, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM | Saturdays, 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM

Trust that Lucid knows what a good cup of coffee is as it’s owned by Singapore’s “coffee princess”, Andrea Tan. She’s a certified World Coffee Events judge and won Singapore’s first National Brewers’ Cup at age 20. Lucid’s interiors are picture-worthy too, with striking grey walls and modern fixtures. The long bar is perfect for learning a thing or two about coffee from the baristas!

Operating hours: Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. | Saturdays to Sundays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
