Getting your way around Singapore isn’t much of a problem, even if it’s your first visit. In fact, the country has one of the best and most affordable public transportation systems in the world, according to this 2018 report. While there are many tourist spots worth visiting around the city, you might encounter one while in transit, right in one of its public transport systems — the MRT.

Redhill MRT Station

Located on the East-West Line on Bukit Merah, Redhill MRT Station attracts not only commuters but also tourists who wish to see its interiors. You would often see train stations in monotonous colors of black and gray, but this one is an aesthetic dream of pastel pink walls and neon lights.

Some even say that the train station looks straight off a Wes Anderson film or a K-pop music video. It’s a location one can’t miss when posing for the ‘gram.

Redhill is an above-ground station that has been operating since March 1988. It’s the only MRT station in the country where the two platforms are not parallel.
