Did the Boracay Closure Really Help the Island?

Do we need another 6-month closure?

Though Boracay underwent rehabilitation, it seems like the island is headed back to its main problem. Hours after its soft opening, several trash and plastic were seen along the island’s beach side, prompting netizens to criticize visiting tourists.

For the betterment of Boracay’s future, the set of rules made by the island officials should be religiously followed by tourists. Tourists should do their part in keeping the island clean and pristine. As tourists, we should be responsible with our actions and always keep the island’s best interest in mind. Being a responsible traveller will definitely go a long way and will have an impact on you future travels.
