Surfing, café hopping, trying new restaurants, and enjoying the nightlife – these are some of the fun activities to look forward to when going to La Union. Whether it’s your first time visiting or you’ve fallen in love with surf town already, here’s a new activity to try. Find your next favorite hobby at Putik Friends:

Putik Friends Pottery Studio and Café

From a small studio, Putik Friends has recently moved to a new location in La Union to open a larger space that would also be the home of a new café and a venue for like-minded folk to enjoy live performances, learn about pottery, play games, and simply talk about life experiences.

The new space’s interiors alone would make you feel cozy and comfortable. A wall of ceramic ware by various artists adds a rustic and unique charm to the space, and the best part about is you can bring them home too. There’s nothing like adding unique pieces to your home, especially when they’re made with love by talented artists.

Now that they also have a café, this is perfect for digital nomads looking for a space for good coffee and getting things done. Putik Friends has a WiFi connection with a speed of up to 200 Mbps. Find your cozy spot and be productive!

Their coffee is served in their ceramics, of course.

Pottery classes

You don’t even have to be fully knowledgeable about the art of pottery because fellow putik friends, aka the founders, are there to guide you. Pottery classes start at PHP2,800 for a single course Handbuilding Workshop, which is perfect for those who are visiting La Union for a weekend.

If you’re staying in Elyu for a long period of time and enjoyed your first session, go for the Basic Wheel Throwing Class. For PHP8,500, you’ll learn how to make bowls, cups, and plates over five sessions.

Know more about the classes and how to book them here.
