Go off-grid at this secluded home
Sure, Mindoro has its popular beaches, but if you’re someone who wants to completely disconnect during a beach getaway, this wooden beach home is ideal. The charming secluded house is located in Abra de Ilog, a coastal town you might’ve not heard of before.
Getting there is an adventure already, with the boat rides and transfers in between. Plus, getting to the port from the metro is just a short drive away. This secluded villa offers a healing vacay in nature: it sits in a natural lagoon, has the sea as its front yard, and has a view of the mountains as its backyard. With an acre of land and nearby rivers to explore, it just sounds about right that there’s a minimum of a two-night stay here. You would want to explore the vicinity too!
The villa features kubo-like interiors: nipa ceilings, wooden furniture, and huge glass doors that give you a panoramic outdoor view. Up to 10 guests can stay here, which is perfect for small to medium families. All of its common spaces are also located in one area.
There are two rooms in the villa, both of which also has a stunning outdoor view.
Since you’ll be in a remote area, expect that there are no nearby restaurants. You’re free to bring your own food and prepare them in the kitchen or hire one of the caretakers for a minimal additional fee.
There’s an acre of land for you to explore, including lounging areas near the sea. The beach is rocky according to the owners, so don’t forget to bring appropriate footwear! They’ll also be useful if you wish to explore nearby rivers.
Swim at the pool when you don’t feel like heading to the sea yet.
