Here’s How This Local Airline Is Elevating Family Travel for Pinoys

Make your next family vacation more memorable.

With its abundance of stunning island destinations, the Philippines has always offered families a wide array of options for vacations and holiday getaways. From white sandy shores to vibrant underwater gardens, choosing the destination for the family getaway has never been a challenge; the real difference lies in the journey getting there.

Recognizing this, local boutique airline Sunlight Air proudly launched its FlyFam program last May. The lifetime campaign features a full suite of family services for the boutique airline’s passengers to enjoy. With family-first provisions and special programs for infants and children, Sunlight Air strives to make the domestic travel experience memorable and convenient for everyone.

What are the perks of the FlyFam program?

Infants fly free

To kick off the FlyFam campaign, Sunlight Air launched its Infants Fly Free Program right on Mother’s Day. This program allows all infants 0 to under 2 years old to fly with Sunlight Air at zero cost on all its routes, as long as there is one accompanying adult passenger per infant. The first program of its kind in the Philippines, new parents won’t have to worry about the added costs of traveling with their child and will also get the priceless benefit of making new memories together in the skies.

Priority check-in and boarding passengers with children

Families traveling with children aged 11 and below will receive priority boarding on all Sunlight Air flights, and will be called to board immediately after its PLUS fare tier guests. Special assistance and access to priority lanes will also be available for them, from check-in to boarding. This ensures families are able to navigate the entire journey with ease, even when airports get busy or overwhelming.

Flexible family seating

For peace of mind and better access to their child’s needs, Sunlight Air guarantees that families with children will be seated together and that no family will be split up on board without prior consent. Sunlight Air understands the importance of providing children with a comfortable and safe space when traveling and the comfort of having their parents nearby. Ground staff and cabin crew are also empowered to make real-time seat adjustments if needed to cater to any last-minute adjustments or requirements.

Luggage assistance

When disembarking the aircraft, families will also receive priority attention with luggage handling and descending the shuttle buses and aircraft stairs. Whether carrying strollers, car seats, or heavy baby bags, Sunlight Air is keen to make the transition from air to land more manageable, giving parents the support they need to tend to their children.

Sunlight Air Little Fliers Club

Launching later this year, the Sunlight Air Little Fliers Club is a loyalty and milestone program exclusively for children aged 2 to 11 years old, designed to make every Sunlight Air flight an adventure even from childhood. Passengers may request a Little Fliers Card at check-in on their first eligible Sunlight Air flight, which will serve as a passport-style minibook with each flight to be recorded by the cabin crew. On every flight, each Little Fliers Club member will be provided with an Activity Pack (a puzzle booklet or sticker set) and a special snack.

Family vacations, while memorable, can definitely get stressful. With FlyFam, Sunlight Air looks to make the journey as seamless and enjoyable as possible for young flyers and their parents alike. With the different programs and amenities available, families can now worry less about the logistics and focus on making lasting memories together.
