Finding pockets of adventure in the city doesn’t have to be difficult, especially when you know where to look. While going on a full-on vacation is thrilling, it requires more preparation, a larger budget, and more time. In case you missed it, the government of Quezon City just recently launched the Quezon City Explorer Passport, which lets you learn about QC, one destination at a time. This is for the folks who love being tourists in their city and plan to see destinations we tend to overlook in a different light. Whether you love collecting stamps or looking for your next side quest, here’s everything you need to know about the QC Explorer Passport.

What is the Quezon City Explorer Passport?

Spearheaded by the Quezon City Government, the Quezon City Explorer Passport is a tourism initiative that encourages visitors to discover the city’s rich heritage and culture, one local destination at a time. It makes exploring the city less overwhelming by offering a wide variety of destinations that passport holders can include in their itinerary.

What’s inside the Quezon City Explorer Passport?

The QC Explorer Passport is organized into five categories:

  • Seat of Revolutions
  • Museums
  • Recreation and Nature-based
  • Faith-based
  • Tourism districts

Visitors don’t only get to collect stamps along the way; there’s also space for notes and decoration.

How can I get one?

Explorers can get their FREE PASSPORT at participating museums on Tuesdays:

  • Quezon Heritage House
  • Bahay Modernismo
  • Tandang Sora Women’s Museum

Note that passport claims are on a first-come, first-served basis, and only 10 passports will be released on Tuesdays. You can only claim one passport per person. To be eligible for one, you only need to:

  • Join the guided museum tour
  • Accomplish the Visitor Feedback Form
  • Follow the following social media pages: QC Tourism & Promotions, Quezon Heritage House, Bahay Modernismo, and Tandang Sora Women’s Museum

I don’t reside in Quezon City. Can I still get the passport?

Planning to go around Quezon City for your next free weekend? You don’t have to worry if you’re not a resident of the city, as the Explorer Passport is also available for non-residents. As long as you follow the mechanics, you may claim your free passport.
