The first thing you’ll likely do in Moscow is visit this historical and beautiful square. Its most famous and recognizable feature is the stunning Saint Basil’s Cathedral. The latter’s colorful and bright domes are often published in magazines, travel websites and postcards. Enter GUM Department Store to shop or dine, or just admire the architecture. Walking here isn’t a bore, beautiful buildings, churches and museums are within or connected to the square. Go inside the Kremlin to learn more about the country’s history and culture.

The square is free but you need to buy a ticket to enter attractions: Rubles (R)700 for Saint Basil’s, R500 Cathedral Square inside the Kremlin and R700 for the Armory inside the Kremlin.
