Vincent van Gogh’s surreal landscapes and paintings are among the world’s most recognizable artwork. No doubt you’ve seen his work including “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Bedroom in Arles.” Now, Manila urbanites can see these and many of his other notable artwork as huge projections when the world-famous exhibition Van Gogh Alive comes to Manila.

According to an announcement posted on Bonifacio High Street’s FB page, the exhibition will be displayed at the fourth floor of One Bonifacio High Street in BGC from October 26 to December 8.

Presented by Melbourne-based Grande Exhibitions, Van Gogh Alive is said to be the “world’s most visited multi-sensory exhibition experience.” The show has been making its rounds around the world, previously visiting top cities like Abu Dhabi, Beijing, Berlin, Madrid, Moscow, Shanghai, Singapore, Xiamen, and Hong Kong. After attracting thousands of people in over 130 cities across six continents in the world, the exhibition is finally coming to Manila just in time for the busy pre-Christmas and Holiday season.

Like other multi-sensory art exhibitions, “Van Gogh Alive” hopes to breathe life to the usual art appreciation experience by bringing artwork to a wider mainstream audience. Unlike viewing framed artwork hung on walls in a gallery or museum, this display will have more than 3,000 Van Gogh’s pieces projected on big screens, walls, columns, ceilings, and even the floor. The moving images change along with classical music, making for a unique, multi-sensory experience.
