If there’s anything that excites us in the coming year, it’s that we have 365 days more to travel anywhere around the world! Life truly is sweeter when spent in transit, and we have rounded up a few things that are going to make the experience even better in 2017.
Nintendo has recently unveiled its new gaming console that on-the-go gamers at heart will love. The Nintendo Switch is travel-friendly, making it the perfect boredom-killer during long-haul flights and six-hour road trips.
Speaking of carry-on luggage, we’ve been seeing major updates being made on travel bags that change the way we travel with our items. Bluesmart Luggage incorporates technology with their products, providing a built-in location tracker, battery charger, digital weighing scale, and remote lock for an easier and stress-free experience!
Surprisingly, there are a couple of countries celebrating their anniversaries in 2017 which makes them great options for international travel. You can expect a lot of fun activities and events all year round in commemoration of Canada’s 150 years of Confederation and Finland’s 100th year of Independence, including Canada’s big birthday bash on July 1st at Parliament Hill, Ottawa and the World’s Greatest Village Festival across Finland from August 25 to 28.
Entertainment across the Globe
Some big events are also happening in the coming year that we can’t miss. Well-known US-based amusement park Six Flags is opening new thrilling attractions across all its parks—one of them being a rollercoaster with its riders wearing virtual reality gear in Mexico.
A major convention is also scheduled to happen on the 2nd week of April and Star Wars fans are in for a treat! The annual Star Wars Celebration will be held in Orlando next year with possibly even more surprises in store following the current hype over the franchise.
Promos and Flights to Love
Better book a flight by New Year’s Day with AirAsia to avail of their affordable flight promos. Whether it’s to Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, or just our local islands, you can find great all-in deals you’ll love!
Philippine Airlines is also now offering daily flights between Manila and Boracay for as low as Php 988, and between Cebu and Boracay for Php 488. Booking last-minute beach getaways with friends will definitely be easier in 2017.
