This post town along the famed Nakasendo Route that links the ancient cities of Edo and Kyoto will take you back in time. The traditional houses, the hidden power cables and phone lines, and the narrow streets will make you believe you are in another epoch. Here you will find Honjins (inns used by officials passing through) and Wakihonjins (inns for people from a lower social class) that add to the ambiance.
