Do you possess nerves of steel and a sense of adventure? Then this open-air walkway in China is ideal for you. Walk of Faith in Zhangjiajie Tianmen at Tianmen Mountain National Forest Park is one of the popular tourist destinations. Built on the side of Tianmen Mountain, it’s a 196-foot glass path that’s 4,690 feet above ground. The brave traveler will have to walk the 3-foot wide walkway and stare down a 2.5-inch glass into the canyon floor.

Visitors have to wear anti-slip shoe covers to keep the glass clean. Don’t worry though because the canyon is often filled with thick fog, making it impossible to see all the way down. Maybe you’ll be brave enough to walk the entire platform then but where’s the fun in that?

The Ledge, Chicago

Kyzia spends most of her time capturing the world around her through photos, paragraphs, and playlists. She is constantly on the hunt for the perfect chocolate chip cookie, and a great paperback thriller to pair with it.
