If you’re the kind of traveler who likes collecting a variety of mementos or ephemera — from bus tickets to fast food receipts — then a pocket in your journal would be a good place to keep them. Some journals come with a built-in pocket, but if yours doesn’t, make one! Just glue the back of a small envelope on the inside cover of your journal, and you’re good to go! If you’re feeling extra crafty, take a nice card and attach it on your journal’s inside cover by securing its edges with some washi tape.

3. Bring at least one binder clip with you.
