In case you missed it, three South Korean destinations are now open for Pinoys to enjoy visa-free entry. Jeju island has been offering visa-free entry for years while Gangwon Province opened in June 2022, the same time South Korea reopened to tourist entry. Earlier this month, Korea Tourism Organization Manila shared a new visa-free entry point in Korea and we have more details about it:

Entry via Muan International Airport

Filipinos now have three options for visa-free entry to South Korea, with Muan International Airport in the province of Jeollanam-do being the latest.

As announced on the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of the Philippines website, this visa-free entry is open to three Asian countries starting from March 15, 2023: the Philippines, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

What are the conditions?

Travelers who are eligible for visa-free entry must be from the previously mentioned countries who booked a tour program consisting of five or more people. They must also fly in and out on the same direct flight via Muan International Airport.

Eligible travelers can stay for 15 days under a Tourist/Transit visa (B-2-94).

What are the travel areas?

Group tourists are allowed to travel to the following destinations:

  • South Jeolla Province
  • Gwangju Metropolitan City
  • North Jeolla Province
  • Jeju Island

When is its implementation period?

Visa-free entry via Muan International Airport is valid from March 15, 2023, to March 31, 2024.
