Officials have released the required number of tourists that are able to visit the island. Only 19, 000 tourists are allowed to set foot on the island at any given moment. Accommodations are also down from 12, 000 rooms to 6, 000 to 9, 000 rooms. Only 68 hotels were permitted by the Department of Tourism to operate in the island. Tourists will also be asked to present their confirmed hotel booking before they enter the island. Local airline Cebu Pacific released an advisory for its passengers regarding the new set of rules of the island.
