Lumbini. This name literally translates to “The Lovely”, and is a famous pilgrimage site. This is believed to be the place where Siddhartha Gautama (the Buddha himself) was born. Visit the Pushkarini (Holy Pond) too, where the Buddha was said to have his first bath.
