For southern peeps, Cavite City isn’t the first destination that comes to mind for food and travel (there’s Tagaytay for that). But this coastal city has so many adventures to offer as long as you’re open to trying new, exciting spots. For starters, this cute cafe that’s ideal for your next date or weekend hangout. Take a look!

 

Kommonkind

A cafe that looks like straight out of a Pinterest board, Kommonkind’s space is a minimalist’s dream come true. From the furniture, spotless walls, and large windows to the little touches of foliage, it’s a place that’ll make you swoon at a glance. The indoors are gorgeous, but the place also has outdoor seating for guests who want to enjoy the peaceful surroundings with great food. 

 

Self-Photo Studio

Want to bring home some souvenirs? Kommonkind has a self-photo studio and a thrift store, too! You can book an appointment through their Facebook page and tell them the number of people that’ll be in the shoot. Call your barkada, family, or special someone for fun picture-taking.

Your pets are also welcome to tag along, but make sure they’re leashed and wearing diapers to maintain the cafe’s cleanliness. For appointment cancellations, give them at least a 24-hour notice. Check out the photo studio packages offered here

 

 

Thrift Store

And if you want to cop new ‘fits or accessories, the cafe’s thrift store sells chic and high-quality pre-loved items for your wardrobe. Just don’t forget to bring your own shopping bag. You get a new OOTD, support local merchants, and help reduce textile waste. It’s a win-win!

 

The menu

You can start your dining experience at Kommonkind with a variety of iced and hot coffee drinks like Sea Salt Caramel Latte, Cafe Con Leche, and Sweet Black, to name a few. If you’re more of a milk lover, sample their flavors like Cocoa Cloud, Blueberry, and Strawberry.  Drink prices start at P70. 

Of course, they also have rice meals Honey Garlic Spam and home-style Tuna Sisig that would make you look forward to visiting more. Pair it with fries or pasties, and you’re all good! Check out their full menu here

Kommonkind is open on weekdays (except Wednesday) from 1 PM to 9 PM and on weekends from 1 PM to 10 PM. It’s located at 121 Zulueta St., San Roque, Cavite City.
