The surfing capital of the Philippines has attracted many a tourist for its breathtaking views, idyllic beaches, and surfing spots. Those who haven’t been to Siargao are definitely missing out on a lot. Once it’s safe to travel, don’t miss your chance to visit the island and see for yourself what the hype is all about. We’ve got just the perfect place for you to stay at — Nay Palad Hideaway.

Barefoot state of mind

Nay Palad Hideaway is conveniently located between two distinct marine ecosystems – the Pacific Ocean and a forest of mangroves and natural waterways. The hideaway is aptly named since it serves as a respite from the hustle and bustle of urban living.

Leave your worries behind as you set foot at Nay Palad. Guests are encouraged to feel at home — visit the kitchen anytime and learn to cook with the chef, or mix your own drink at the bar — and have that “barefoot state of mind” for the duration of their stay. The staff is there to attend to every guest’s needs at any time of day whether they’re up for an adventure or want a relaxing stay.

What activities can you do?

The Boathouse is one of the distinct spots at the Hideaway. It’s a multifunctional area where guests can relax, play, or do their preferred exercises. It houses a yoga pavilion that is an open-air space among the trees, overlooking the sea. Not into yoga? The Boathouse has a gym on the ground floor complete with state-of-the-art equipment.

For the active ones, water activities available include swimming in the infinity pool, snorkeling, surfing at Cloud 9, diving, and a whole lot more. At the Hideaway, you can play volleyball, badminton, soccer, and more sports with other guests. Nay Palad can even arrange an island hopping tour around the bay to visit nearby islands or land excursions to explore the villages and towns of Siargao.

At the end of the day, guests can lounge by the pool and enjoy the outdoor film screening.

Luxurious rooms

Nay Palad has four luxury villas: Perlah Villa, Deluxe Villa, Superior Family Villa, and Superior Villa. Depending on which villa you book, it can accommodate a minimum of two and a maximum of six people. Each one promises guests a luxurious time with its spacious, clean, and Instagrammable interiors. Amenities for each include air conditioning, mini-bar, private showers, wireless internet, and even aromatherapy essential oils and daily homemade dried fruits.

What sets Nay Palad apart from other beach resorts is their aim to create a truly sustainable luxury experience for everyone. They make sure the natural beauty of the place is preserved for generations to come.

Nay Palad is “continuously seeking new ways to reduce [their] footprint and increase [their] sustainability.” One example is how they grow their own vegetables and herbs in a modest organic farm (which you can request to visit with the hotel’s very own chef). Nay Palad is also part of an initiative that aims to apply the 4Cs – conservation, community, culture, and commerce. Destination Deluxe included them in its shortlist of Eco-Hotels of the Year 2020.
