In the city of Haifa overlooking the sweeping view of the Mediterranean Sea, is Mount Carmel. This is where the Carmel Church and the Cave of Elijah—where the prophet Elijah asked God to put a stop to a three and a half year famine by praying for rain. A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Hanging Gardens of Bahai is found nearby.
