This church in Irkutsk is ancient with centuries of history under its belt. Built in 1693, the cathedral burned down in the 1710s. It was later rebuilt and finished construction in 1729. Its design draws from various influences from Siberian motifs, Baroque aesthetic and Old Russian style. If you look at the cathedral closely, you might think it resembles a gingerbread house.
