PSA Potterheads: A New Harry Potter Theme Park to Open in Tokyo in June 2023

One more reason to visit Japan.
by | March 22, 2023

From Tokyo Disneyland, Studio Ghibli Park, and Super Nintendo World to Universal Studios in Osaka – Japan is home to theme parks that feed the inner child. Adding to this roster of exciting attractions is a new Harry Potter theme park opening in Tokyo on June 16.

Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter

The second of its kind worldwide and the first in Asia, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter will open in Toshimaen, Tokyo on June 16, 2023. The new theme park spans 90,000 square meters, which is larger than its twin in London.

There’s no need to fly farther anymore as the studio experience is closer. Studio Tour Tokyo will have the same exhibit and experience as the one found in London but with one new addition: a behind-the-scenes production of the Fantastic Beasts series. This theme park will also open the world’s largest Studio Tour Shop, so get your funds ready for some severe merch shopping.

But there’s no rush if you can’t visit on the day it opens in June or sometime this year – according to WBSJ Vice President Toshihiro Matsuo, this park will be open for 30 years. There are more reasons to keep on coming back to Japan!
