Looking for a different kind of water therapy? You may have seen photos of people lounging in giant clay woks over a log fire. This unusual experience is called a kawa hot bath. And don’t worry, you won’t be burned alive. The fire is just there to keep you warm, and the bath even has flowers and herbs to help you relax and calm your senses.

Luckily, you don’t even need to go far to try this for yourself. The next time you’re going to Tagaytay, you can add this picturesque garden resort to your itinerary.

La VeryOl’s Mountain View Garden

Located at St. Francis Drive, Barangay Francisco, La VeryOl’s Mountain View Garden is not your usual garden resort. Here, you can pamper yourself through glamping, body massages, and their main attraction: taking a relaxing dip in a kawa, a giant clay wok.

What’s more, the entire property offers a picturesque view of the Tagaytay highlands. You can also enjoy the view of beautiful plants and trees. You’ll not only be able to say goodbye to stress, you can also update your Instagram feed with awesome photos and videos.

Kawa Hot Bath

Usually, it takes around 20 to 30 minutes for the staff to prepare the kawa hot bath. First, they will fill the kawa with water from a bamboo faucet. Next, they will add various flowers and herbs to the water. You can then choose an essential oil to be mixed with the water. They will also give you a dipper made from a coconut husk and a stone to scrub away dead skin cells.
