Lutong Pugon – Wood Fired Pizza

Located near Camp Capinpin in Tanay, Rizal, Lutong Pugon at Tiongco’s Garden is a garden restaurant that’s so gorgeous you won’t even miss the conveniences of having pizza delivered to your home. It’s a hidden restaurant in the mountains, perfect for those looking for an intimate dining setting away from the crowd.

Owned by local artist Jun Tiongco, the dining area of the restaurant alone is like a piece of art. It would remind you of stained glass mosaic windows you’d see in church, but instead of stone, it features domes made of bamboo. Blending with its surroundings, it’s a hidden garden restaurant that’s not only filling for the tummy but also for the soul. Who wouldn’t feel healed at a place as relaxing as this?

The dining area also opens to a balcony where you can take photos with the surrounding forest as your background.

If you’d like to see more art, there’s a small art gallery near the restaurant, featuring the art of the owner and other local artists. It looks like a cozy cabin with a view of the forest as well.

 

The Menu

Lutong Pugon offers a gourmet menu with different salads, pasta, and their main dish, wood-fired pizza. Their mouth-watering pizzas come in a generous 13-inch size with various topping choices like mozzarella cheese, smoked ham, chorizo, salmon, and pepperoni. Guests can also opt for a gluten-free base!
