Metro Manila is well into ECQ season 3, but we can’t blame them for already planning for their next trip. Be it a beach getaway, a staycation at a luxury hotel, or a coffee date with our loved ones, we’re all dying to go out. Those in the outskirts of Metro Manila, however, have it a little easier as they have more freedom to move around. And there are so many small businesses popping up, such as grab-and-go cafés (which, BTW, may just be one of the best new normal trends). Nestled in a private subdivision in Cainta, Red Keep Café serves up some of the tastiest homemade waffles and crepes in town.

Red Keep Café

Red Keep Café is a container van café with a modern industrial design inside and out. Upon entering, you will be greeted with the shop’s vintage keepsakes, antique bicycles, and paintings adorning its walls. The café can serve up to 10 in-store diners with social distancing. Meanwhile, outdoor seating can entertain at least four groups amidst the spacious green, clean stretch of land.

The café sits beside King’s Landing Events Place, a three-year-old business with a basketball court for hosting special events and occasions.

Locals are in for a treat since Red Keep Café is just a few minutes away, especially if you live in Filinvest East Homes. Of course, residents make up most of the cafe’s regulars, but it deserves a visit from out-of-towners too.

Red Keep Café offers a variety of coffee house staples, from premium brews, waffles, crepes, cakes, pastries, to pasta dishes. If you’re looking for something to pump you up in the morning, you should go with their espresso-based beverages like a short Americano or Flat White. For an afternoon delight, they also serve frappes and non-coffee sweeteners like Raspberry Iced Tea and Lemon Iced Tea.

Craving for dessert? It’s worth walking down this section of the subdivision for a quick pick-me-up in the form of waffles & crepes. They have varying flavors for every palate including Oreo Madness, Mango Delight, Kitkat, and Peanut Butter. Savory comfort dishes and sandwiches such as Creamy Carbonara and Tuna Sandwich are also available at Red Keep.
