Surrounded by lush tropical plants and tall coconut trees, Finnish-owned Surfing Carabao is far from being a resort. The owners built the property to feel more like a home away from home, and their three houses feel like that. It’s located in a peaceful place out from touristy areas and would make you feel like you have the whole place to yourself.

Embracing the building materials you’d usually find on the island, nipa and bamboo, this bungalow can accommodate up to two people. It has a queen-sized bed, air-con, en suite bathroom, cabinet, safe, and a large terrace overlooking the beach.

Located in the garden behind the houses is a common kitchen equipped with all the tools for cooking and dining. And if you end up not getting enough of the place, long-term stays are also accepted here.

If you’re looking for your next WFH spot, the bungalow is also equipped with WiFi. Never mind a day full of deadlines when you get to work at a scenic home office where the sea is just a few steps away.

Nearby destinations

Surfing Carabao offers a lot of privacy but it’s still located in the heart of General Luna, where markets and shops are just a short motorbike away. After all, it’s the common form of transportation on the island and you can reach Cloud 9 and other surf spots within 10-15 minutes. Motorbike rental is available for just P400 a day.

Rates start at P1,175 per night. For bookings and more info, visit their official website here.
