We get it – everyone’s tired of the city life on lockdown and we’re all looking for a change of scenery, whether it’s just for a few days or an entire month. Siargao is finally open to tourists again and everyone’s taking the opportunity to soak in stress-free days and visit the island. If you’re planning to treat yourself to a tropical holiday, this boutique hotel near Cloud 9 will let you enjoy the surfing island’s waters to the fullest.

Surfing Temple Hotel Boutique

Laidback and slow days in tropical paradise – this is the vibe that Surfing Temple Hotel Boutique exudes. Surrounded by lush tropical plants, the boutique hotel will make you feel like you’re in a little jungle without being too far from where the fun is. It’s just 400 meters away from General Luna Beach, home of the famous Cloud 9. Whether you’re a beginner or a pro, a trip to the island just isn’t complete without riding its waves and visiting the famous Boardwalk during sunrise or sunset.

The 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms, all of which have a pool view and access to the garden and a terrace. Though you have a pool view, you’ll still get a slice of privacy as foliage surrounds each room. Just imagine waking up and enjoying a hot cup of coffee or tea on your private terrace with a relaxing view.

Inside the room, you’ll find a fridge, mini bar, kettle, wardrobe, bidet, and a hairdryer. You’ll also have a stylish private bathroom with a stunning outdoor shower. If you’re not comfy with posing at the shower by the pool, you can strut your best swimmies here instead.

The room also has a nook with a glass window, which is the perfect spot for some muni-muni or reading. Being surrounded by plants is so relaxing!

Common spaces

Need to hop on a quick call or meeting in between surfing? The hotel has common spaces for fit for work and play, which is just by the in-house restaurant.

When you don’t feel like going out to the beach yet, the pool area will be your favorite tambayan. Lined with wooden panels, sunbeds, and lounge sofas, this area is picture-perfect in every corner.

At Surfing Temple’s restaurant, you can choose from a range of tapas, mains, and refreshing drinks and cocktails. One of their best sellers includes Rilletes (P260), a tuna and cream cheese spread served with homemade focaccia, best paired with a cocktail during happy hour.

See their full menu on Instagram. Alcoholic drinks are served until 9 PM!

Rates at Surfing Temple Hotel Boutique start at P3,500 per night. They also offer an airport shuttle service for an additional fee.
