Even without a clear destination in mind, going on a road trip is one of the most fun things you can do with friends or family. Car rides full of good music, pit stops at random gasoline stations, and shared funny stories are what make it fun! If you’re planning a quick weekend staycation soon, this former navy house in Subic would be a great destination for a road trip away from the city.
White walls, lightwood furniture, and bohemian decor – Tuki Nest looks straight out of your dream Pinterest board that you wouldn’t be able to help yourself from taking photos at every corner. Whether you’re looking for an IG-worthy Airbnb or your next work-from-home location, you’d want to add this house to your list!
Tuki Nest is an 80-sqm townhouse on the second floor of an old navy house in Kalayaan Village. It’s the first Nest built by the owners and its floors are made from used pallet wood. Though it’s located right in the heart of Subic Bay, you would still get a slice of nature as the property is surrounded by lush greenery and lots of outdoor space. You might even spot one of the owners’ dogs when you take a walk outside.
Upon entering the house, you’d find the living room equipped with a smart TV. Binge-watching your favorite shows or movies on Netflix has never been this stylish.
Connected to the space are the dining area and kitchen, which give a nature view from the glass windows and doors.
If you love cooking, prepare the ingredients for your signature dishes because this kitchen would make you whip up different meals! You’ll have everything you’ll need for cooking, including condiments for sharing in the fridge.
Tuki Nest has one bedroom with a queen bed, and the view alone would make you want to stay in for the whole day. It has access to the veranda, where you’ll enjoy the same nature view and a hammock. Both the bedroom and living rooms are equipped with air conditioning and fans.
The room also has an office space, just in case you plan on finding a new WFH spot for a week or two.
Planning to explore Subic Bay during your stay? Tuki Nest is only a five-minute drive to Royal Duty-Free, 10 minutes to the CBD and El Kabayo trails, and 20 minutes to Camayan Beach.
Rates at Tuki Nest start at P7,662 per night.
