When one thinks of India, the image of the Taj Mahal comes to mind. Along with the slums of Mumbai and the desert sand dunes of the state of Rajasthan. Others also imagines the fine beaches of Goa and the tropical landscape of Kerala. Of course, there’s also the majestic scenery of Ladakh – thanks to the Bollywood film 3 Idiots. These are the popular places in India that most travelers know about. However, India as a huge nation boasts of more places to explore and one of the must-see places is the state of Madhya Pradesh.

Nicknamed as the “Heart of India” because of its geographical location, Madhya Pradesh’s history began as early as the 10th century. Hindu and Jain temple ruins, ancient cities and National Parks housing wildlife animals such as the Bengal Tigers can be found in this state.

To know more about Madhya Pradesh, here are some places to see and reasons why it should be included in your future travel goals.
