The Rock Shelters of Bhimbetka – an impressive area composed of 750 rock shelters belonging to the prehistoric Mesolithic and Paleolithic era. The paintings found in the rock walls depicts the earliest evidence of human life in the region dating back to 100,000 years ago, as well as showing evidence of the Stone Age.
