Craving something sweet? Get yourself a bowl of douhua – silky-soft tofu pudding drizzled with brown sugar syrup that is often topped with sweetened beans, tapioca pearls, and taro balls. During the hotter months, the Tainanese like their douhua served with shaved ice.
