Bagan is an ancient city that has seen a spike in tourist arrivals because of the beautiful temples that date back to the 9th and 13th centuries. It used to be the Pagan Kingdom’s capital. During the time of that kingdom, its rulers had more than 4000 Buddhist temples, monasteries and pagodas built. Fast forward to today, you’ll see many of these as far as your eyes could see.
