After more than a year of remote work setting, you might’ve been itching for an escape from your usual setup and have a simple change of scenery. Rather than leaving home for a quick getaway, why don’t you try having an entire change of scenery where the sea will be your front yard?

Work from the beach at Kwentong Dagat

Tucked in a fishing village in San Felipe, Zambales, Kwentong Dagat is a charming beachfront resort known for its glamping and camping experience, plant-based meals, community, and activities that would help you find your flow. Visitors who can’t get enough of the place can now stay longer, an entire month to be exact, and live and work from paradise.

What’s included in the package?

Kwentong Dagat’s Work From the Beach package costs P35,000 and is good for two pax. Bring along your partner, best friend, sibling, or even your favorite officemate and you’ll get to enjoy the following during your stay:

Accommodation will be at the Abaca Room, which boasts a nipa ceiling and beautiful murals on its bare walls. This room has a queen-sized bed plus a pull-out, an en suite bathroom, and air-con. You’ll also get your own porch and access to the kitchen and its equipment.

WiFi is of utmost importance and Kwentong Dagat has fibr WiFi connection. You can work from your room when receiving important work calls or just have the beach as your backdrop.

Other services included in this package are:

  • Weekly housekeeping and sanitation
  • Palengke run
  • Discount on meals and activities
  • Daily beach access
  • 24/7 surveillance by caretakers

Laundry service, however, is not included. A half-month package is also available for P25,000.

Things to do here

Other than being able to work from paradise, Kwentong Dagat has various activities that would make your month-long stay worthwhile. Since you’ll be getting discounts on food and activities, don’t forget to try their Filipino food menu that is entirely plant-based, like Bicol express and kadlereta. Even when you’re away from home, you’ll still be reminded of your mom’s cooking with these healthy cooked meals.

On weekends, relieve your work stress with their Flow activities: Sunset & Sunrise Yoga, intro to jiujitsu, muay-thai, or boxing, surfing, and skimboarding. A beach bonfire setup is also available upon request. If you want to explore Zambales further, you can book an island hopping tour, a trip to the nearby Anghalo Falls, or a fun ATV ride.

Kwentong Dagat is located in Sitio Liwliwa, San Felipe, Zambales.
