Batangas is a favorite summer destination for its man beach resorts, but those looking for a different view must include this new resort in the municipality of Nasugbu. Surrounded by mountain views, The Sanctuary in Batulao is a little paradise you can reach without driving too far from the city.
The Sanctuary Batulao
Conveniently located in two favorite destinations down South, The Sanctuary Batulao is a newly-opened resort that offers a peaceful respite as you cool off in this sweltering summer heat. Just a 10-15 drive from Twin Lakes Tagaytay, this resort offers a stunning view of Mt. Batulao right from its cool swimming pool and rooms. It’s the ideal place to get away from it all, even if it’s just for a day tour!
There’s also an in-house restaurant, which you can find at the Pavilion. It’s an open-air restaurant that will allow guests to appreciate the surrounding beauty of nature while enjoying servings of local and international dishes. Check out their menu here.
If you plan on staying longer, the resort has three different stays:
Boasting an A-frame design and big glass windows, the Twin Villas, as suggested by its name, are identical stays perched on top of a hill. Each air-conditioned villa has a balcony overlooking the mountain and pool, and two levels that can accommodate a family or group of 4. The ground level has a queen bed, mini ref, and a private bath while the attic has two single floor beds. Breakfast is also included during your stay.
Rates start at P5,800 per night for 4 pax.
The Sanctuary Batuloa’s Bunker Room is far from the usual bunker room we see in dystopian movies — it’s way comfier and cozier. This stylish room is ideal for couples as the queen bed can comfortably sleep two! If you’re a fan of light wood furniture, this cozy room will be for you. It’s also inclusive of free breakfast, a small fridge, and a small dining area.
Rates start at P4,800 for 2 pax.
Guests looking for a more native stay can go for the Bahay Kubo but with a twist. It has the same bahay kubo look on its exteriors but its interiors are painted white, giving a clean and minimalist vibe. This room is also ideal for 2 and comes with free breakfast, a private bath, a dining area, and a mini-fridge.
Rates start at P4,300 for 2 pax.
Planning to bring your family? The Sanctuary Batulao also has accommodation for bigger groups: the Family Villa, which can accommodate up to 8 people. This private stay has three air-conditioned bedrooms, three CRs, a mini ref, and a free breakfast.
Rates start at P12,000 for 8 pax.
Excess guests will be charged P1,000 per head, which is also inclusive of a bed and breakfast. The Sanctuary Batulao is located in Sitio Kaytoyang, Barangay Aga, Nasugbu, Batangas.
